BUSINESS ANALYST

 

Reports to: Director of Decision Science & Analytics

 

Summary of Position:

 

Through its market-leading financial management solution, VisitPay is using software, data, and analytics to help hospitals engage with their patients to proactively manage their healthcare expenses. We are seeking a Business Analyst to join our Analytics team. The BA is an analytic razor and driven problem solver who will support strategies that deliver increased profitability and patient satisfaction for both VisitPay and our health system partners. The BA might be early in her or his career but is a fast, self-driven learner with tremendous potential. She or he works hard and is willing to put in the extra effort required to drive the success of a growth company, while also enjoying the flexible, casual environment we afford.

 

Core skills include identifying key business questions and opportunities, developing analysis plans, assembling and synthesizing data using advanced SQL queries, and seamlessly integrating data into Excel models, charts, and tables. The BA leverages exceptional written, verbal, and data visualization communication skills to deliver insights through PowerPoint and other mediums. She or he is an excellent teammate to the analysts, engineers, business managers, and executives who collaborate to deliver VisitPay’s market-leading products.

 

Key Activities:

 

  • Business Performance – Assess and report on performance of products and services for clients and the business; recommend and drive improvements and changes
  • Product Optimization and Client Solutions – Drive profitability and patient satisfaction by developing and optimizing client facing configurations, segmentations, and strategies
  • Product Development – Support the product team, product development, and product roadmap by assessing feature importance, effectiveness, and satisfaction

Qualifications:

 

  • BA/BS in a quantitative or analytic field (or, a BA/BS in a non-quantitative field with other evidence of analytical experience and strength)
  • 1 – 2 yrs work experience (preferred) with track record of delivering results and driving impact
  • Demonstrated experience with excel and building excel models
  • SQL experience preferred, exposure and demonstrated ability to learn rapidly also acceptable

  • This position is based in Boise, ID.
